Training The Indian Way

We are proud and excited to announce new regional Parent Training – The Indian Way workshops (see agenda and schedules).

Because of the fracture in passing on traditional Indian parenting systems, many Indian families are in great turmoil and stress.  Many Indian parents are frustrated and angry with their children.  Some holler at, even hit their children -- this is not the Indian way.

From research on how these parenting fractures occurred, to reviews of old style parenting, combined with modern lifestyle youth pressures, this training will help even the most troubled families.

Further, to keep children engaged in school, they must be fluent in reading.  Many Indian students are now reading 2-3-4-5 years below grade level.  With this reading deficit, they get frustrated, angry, quit, or continue misbehavior until suspended or expelled.  This does not have to be.  With training on Indian ways of best learning, all parents can easily help their children to quickly improve their reading abilities.

Board members, parent volunteers, parent involvement staff, Principals and Superintendents of Indian schools will each gain much from this training.

Come prepared to learn, work hard, have fun, and return home energized with information on how to help keep Indian students safe, educationally engaged and academically achieving.

Hope to see you there.

P.S.  Bring a Board Member with you –they receive a $100 discount.
